Guitar player Rick Hinkle has a long list of satisfied clients, such as Jerry Ragovoy, Eddie Kramer, Johnny Sandlin, Matt Still, Vassar Clemments, Theodis Ealey, Paul Davis, Ed Seay, Buchner & Garcia, and many more.
"I started doing regular session work in the 70s at Tom Wright’s Melody Recording Studio, as part of a 4-piece rhythm section that became Air Raid, recording with Eddie Kramer in 1980. Some other recordings I did during that period include Paul Davis, King Hannibal, James Purify, Joe South, and Buchner & Garcia, including the 1981 gold record, Pac Man Fever.
Since that time, I have continued to record in many different styles, with many blues and soul artists such as Sandra Hall, Ben E. King, Chick Willis, Frank Frost, and Johnny Jenkins. I played on Howard Tate Rediscovered; produced by Jerry Ragovoy and nominated for a Grammy in 2004.
I have also played live with Trini Lopez, Buddy Grecco, Martha Reeves, Bill Joe Royal, The Tams, Bonnie Bramlett, William Bell, Little Antony, and many others."
